Catherine Malfitano directs Puccini's much-loved tale of nobility, passion and predatory lust as Tosca returns to the Coliseum. Rising star Amanda Echalaz, "set to be the leading Tosca of her generation" (The Independent), reprises the central role which she played at Opera Holland Park to such acclaim two years ago. With one Tosca on stage and another behind the scenes, "a radical new design approach" is promised by Frank Philip Schlossmann. And with Edward Gardner, ENO's Olivier Award-winning Music Director, in the pit, this new production promises to be a thrilling new take on Puccini's wonderful, blood-soaked tale.
