Toy StoriesItalian photographer Gabriele Galimberti visited more than 50 countries over 18 months to create images of children with their most prized possessions: their toys. The 21 portraits displayed in Toy Stories, taken in Zambia, Texas, Ukraine, Japan and beyond, show that regardless of the country they live in or their economic status, whether the child owns a fleet of miniature cars or a single stuffed monkey, they are simply interested in playing. Galimberti's beautiful photographs capture kids' natural tendancy to enjoy playtime, no matter what their background is.

About V & A Museum of Childhood

The Museum of Childhood houses the UK's largest collection of toys including dolls, dolls' houses, puppets, games, and toys. Collections showcase all aspects of childhood, from games throughout the ages to a historical look at cots, prams and feeding bottles (including a 19th century ceramic bottle).
