The Fashion and Textile Museum presents a revealing exhibition, getting to bottom of our underwear. Undercover: The Evolution of Underwear looks at the changing roles of underwear - from health garment to the kind of thing you see in the window of Agent Provocateur. For those who prefer their undies to come with an Elle Macpherson label, there's 'stars and their bras' section which looks at celebrity lines of lingerie. More than mere window dressing, what you wear under your clothes can do wonders for shaping the body and bust. You only need to look at the corsets on display here to see that. Pieces worn by burlesque artiste Immodesty Blaize and the original Merry Widow corset (inspired by Lana Turner in the film of the same name) show us how. Alongside are stunning designs by Vin & Omi and a La Perla bra encrusted with Swarovski crystals. Underwear as outerwear - these are bras that are meant to be seen.
