Unsigned Mind at Fry's

The idea for this night of live music upstairs at The Old Queen's Head started in the virtual world, in a bar created on Twitter by Edna Fry, a character who describes herself as "Stephen Fry's poor downtrodden wife and mother to his six children". The great man, and QI presenter, himself is a regular at the imaginary Fry's bar where bands could 'perform' by adding links to their music. But why keep the gig in cyberspace, thought Samantha Hayhurst and fellow musician Russ Sargeant, both performers at the online gig. Much better to give the bands a real audience. And so, on Thursday 11th March, you can hear Unsigned Mind at 'Fry's Bar' which takes place upstairs at The Old Queen's Head for one night only. Musicians playing at the event include folk and electropop outfit, Ashxyz; acoustic singer, Karen Cleary; and the folk-based gritty rock of Sweet Sweet Lies, alongside a handful of unsigned acts and with Raymond of The Netherlands playing host for the night.
