The annual V&A Illustration Awards are given to the best book and editorial illustration published in the UK each year and the prize money ? 2,000 to each category winner plus an additional 2,000 for the overall winner ? makes it one of the most substantial financial prizes for illustration in the industry. The winning works, announced on Monday 3rd June, make up a small, free display in the V&A.

About Victoria and Albert (V & A) Museum

The Victoria and Albert Museum (or V & A as everyone calls it) was originally founded in 1852 to inspire and educate British designers and manufacturers. Today it houses over 4 million items spanning centuries and hundreds of cultures.
