What better place to whisper sweet nothings in your loved one's ear this Valentine's than in the very house where great English Romantic poet John Keats met and fell for his beloved 'girl next door' Fanny Brawne. The good people at Keats abode are suckers for a bit of romance and have put together four days of loved up events to help you discover your inner poet. There's a special Valentine's Day opening on Thursday 14th February, A Valentine Masquerade ball the following night (booking advised), and a chance to get your photo taken with your loved one throughout the weekend. 'Ever Truly Yours' wraps things up on Sunday with a romantic poetry reading just for the two of you including extracts from Keats's own love letters, free with admission to the house.
About Keats House
John Keats spent two years from 1818 to 1820 at Keats House, formerly known as Wentworth Place and now named after the Romantic poet. Reopened on 24th July 2009 after nearly two years closure, the rooms have been updated so that more artefacts from the collection of letters, manuscripts and relics relating to Keats can be displayed.
