Venus & AdonisThree of the ground-breaking international theatre companies which came to London for last year's Globe to Globe event in the World Shakespeare Festival return to the Globe for a limited run of performances as part of wider international tours. In the "joyous, rhythmic, energetic" (Evening Standard) Venus & Adonis, the Isango Ensemble from Cape Town blend song and dance with their wondrously energetic dramatisation of Shakespeare's poem of love and longing. Performed in the languages IsiZula, IsaXhosa, Se Sotho, Setswana, Afrikaans and South African English.

Globe to Globe 2013: Venus & Adonis, King Lear, Indian Tempest, As You Like It. Special offer: buy top-price tickets to all four productions and get 50% off.

About Shakespeare's Globe Theatre

This replica of the Shakespeare's 16th century theatre, reconstructed just 200 yards from its original site, is the brainchild of American actor and director Sam Wanamaker. Built in wood and thatch, using techniques from 400 years ago, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre opened in 1996. More about Shakespeare's Globe Theatre
