Victoria Park Fireworks

The gorgeous green area of Victoria Park - with two pretty lakes and an ornate pagoda - is a fantastic place to catch all the flashes, bangs and sparkles of this free Tower Hamlets Fireworks Display in celebration of Bonfire Night. This year's Sunday evening show is aptly named 'Remember, Remember' in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the start of the Blitz. Renowned pyrotechnicians Walk the Plank will dramatically light up the skies of East London with a unique and spectacular display accompanied by a soundtrack reminiscent of the era. There's always a strong community atmosphere here and the explosives look set to bring in the crowds once again to what both Capitol Radio and the Evening Standard last year described as the best fireworks display in London. But a word of warning for regulars: due to space limitations this year there will be no funfair or food stalls. Public transport is encouraged because extensive road closures will be in place from 6.30pm so make sure you not only have a bite before heading out but also allow plenty of time for your journey. As there is very limited parking, we suggest travelling via tube to Mile End and then walking to the park entry on Grove Road.
