French electro-dance techno wizard Vitalic touches down for a special live set at Matter this November. If you missed last month's Flashmob album launch night at Fabric, then here's your chance to hear Pascal Arbez's new tunes live in London's biggest club. Vitalic's debut record OK Cowboy saw Arbez labelled the natural heir to Daft Punk and Justice - but follow-up Flashmob's even better. Multi-layered, witty paradoxical pop at its very best, Flashmob provides light relief from the current grating trend for all things minimal and marks a gigantic step ahead for the current electronic music scene. Funnily enough, the album's title track is possibly the weakest, but with current single Your Disco Song, slowburner Alain Delon, the chilling Poison Lips, brilliant Second Lives and bombastic opener Sea the Sea (Red), Vitalic has enough beef to turn any club into an abattoir of dance or a butcher of beats. Not bad for a techno artist who doesn't listen to techno albums "because they're boring". Also performing tonight: Black Strobe, Morgan Geist, Guido Schneider, VeryVeryWrongIndeed and much more.
