Beckett's controversial Waiting for Godot, a "play in which nothing happens, twice" (Vivian Mercier, Irish Times, 1956), comes to the Arcola Theatre this summer, staged by a talented creative team. Simon Dormandy, who has worked with Cheek by Jowl, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Donmar and the Royal Court, directs, with a set by Patrick Kinmonth - who received the Wall Street Journal magazine's 'Innovator of the Year Award' for his "unrestricted creativity and multiple talents".

About Arcola Theatre

This renowned community theatre is at the heart of Hackney and Dalston's flourishing arts scene, and one of the best places in London to see new work. The Arcola Theatre building is a classic contemporary fringe venue, a converted paint manufacturing factory that offers studio spaces, a versatile auditorium and a pop up tent that hosts a variety of shows.
