Beckett's controversial Waiting for Godot, a "play in which nothing happens, twice" (Vivian Mercier, Irish Times, 1956), comes to the Arcola Theatre this summer, staged by a talented creative team. Simon Dormandy, who has worked with Cheek by Jowl, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Donmar and the Royal Court, directs, with a set by Patrick Kinmonth - who received the Wall Street Journal magazine's 'Innovator of the Year Award' for his "unrestricted creativity and multiple talents".
