Following the hugely popular BBC series, first broadcast in 1999, and a worldwide tour attended by over 7 million people, here comes another chance to go Walking with the Dinosaurs. You can get up close to the terrifying Tyrannosaurus-Rex, who towers over us at an impressive 39 ft, and walk alongside Allosaurus - one of the largest carnivores of the Jurassic period. There are 20 life-size - and scarily life-like - models of the long-extinct creatures as part of the theatrical display which tours nationwide. In London, the dinosaurs take a stroll at The O2 Arena from 26th December 2012 - 6th January 2013. Followed by a walk at Wembley Arena from 1st - 6th May 2013.
About The O2 Arena
The centrepiece of the redeveloped Millennium Dome is the O2 Arena, the first purpose-built music venue in London. With a capacity of 23,000, it offers the rather soulless Wembley Arena some serious competition. Big name acts such as The Rolling Stones, The Killers, Justin Timberlake, Girls Aloud and Tina Turner have performed on stage, with the likes of Beyonce, AC/DC, Kings of Leon and Britney Spears set to appear in 2009.
