This exhibition of War, Art And Surgery at the Hunterian Museum - part of the First World War centenary commemorations - features striking pastels of wounded servicemen by surgeon-artist Henry Tonks as well as contemporary work by artist Julia Midgley, who used unprecedented access to military facilities to create over 150 pieces of reportage artwork representing military surgeons in training and recently wounded soldiers on their road to recovery.

About Hunterian Museum

Housed in the college, the Hunterian Museum collection is open to all and was amassed over four centuries by a cast of colourful characters including John Hunter (1728-1793).
