Watch This Space

Nearby Watch This Space

There's no better place to be on a sunny evening than the South Bank and, with this al fresco festival of free events from theatre and circus to music, dancing under the stars and open air film stretching right through the summer months, it has a relaxed, arty buzz. Watch This Space is organised by the National Theatre and we think the best way to enjoy the entertainment and atmosphere is at Theatre Square, the green performance space on the National's doorstep, although Square2 (located on the riverside next to the National's Stage Door) is also hosting some cool and wacky events starting with Life Streaming which takes place simultaneously in London and Sri Lanka (from 23rd June to 3rd July). The full programme for Theatre Square is yet to be announced but you can expect a vibrant mix of experimental theatre, dance and circus performances including juggling, aerial feats and parkour. Go to the National's What This Space website for the latest announcements.About National Theatre
Each year the three superb venues in the National Theatre put on a significant proportion of the world's best productions. From intimate character studies in the Cottesloe, to grand spectacles in the Olivier, the National Theatre is the spiritual centre of the British theatrical tradition. More about National Theatre
