What The Ladybird HeardJulia Donaldson's delightful picture book 'What the Ladybird Heard' comes to life on the stage with a 'moo' and a 'baa' and plenty of clucking. When Hefty Hugh and Lanky Len hatch a plot to steal the fine prize cow, it's the ladybird, the quietest animal of all who saves the day. Featuring live music, puppetry, and plenty of audience participation, this production is lots of fun for the whole family. Recommended for ages 3 and above.

The Lyric, Shaftesbury Avenue's oldest theatre was opened in 1888, just two years after the street itself was completed. An indistinct red brick building, it lacks the grandeur of the neighbouring Gielgud and Apollo, but has a charm and unassuming beauty that are all its own. More about Lyric Shaftesbury Avenue
