The Whatsonstage.com Awards are the only major theatre awards that see the audience become the judges across all categories. The award ceremony covers a number of categories including plays, musicals, Shakespearean production and comedy. The evening also incorporates a concert that will see the likes of Tim Minchin and Melanie C perform their big numbers from the arena tour of 'Jesus Christ Superstar'. While the awards ceremony itself will be hosted by Rufus Hound, who makes his West end debut this year in One Man, Two Guvnors and Mel Giedroyc, who presented popular TV show 'The Great British Bake Off' and oversaw the awards in 2010.

About Palace Theatre

The towering Palace Theatre dominates Cambridge Circus. Five storeys of dark-red brick with octagonal towers on the top give it a looming aspect better suited to a court than a theatre. This sinister atmosphere is continued inside, with heavy blocks of marble, and Renaissance style arches in the foyer and stairwells. More about Palace Theatre
