JB Priestley's best loved British comedy returns to the West End's Garrick Theatre this autumn with a decent run through till February. Set in a West Yorkshire town in 1908, When We Are Married tells the story of three well-to-do couples who were married on the same day, at the same church, and by the same vicar, come together to celebrate 25 years of blissful matrimony. Or so they think... Shocking revelations, embarrassing secrets, home truths, farcical fights and comic mayhem ensues in this gloriously timeless gem by one of England's most celebrated dramatists. Starring West End favourites Maureen Lipman and Roy Hudd, and directed by Christopher Luscombe, When We Are Married is a classic British comedy of class and hypocrisy that will have the audience in fits and giggles.About Garrick Theatre
Named after the great 18th century actor-manager David Garrick, whose portrait hangs in the foyer bar, The Garrick is a fantastic piece of late-Victorian kitsch, originally financed by WS Gilbert.
