This year, Hyde Park Winter Wonderland has a world record breaker - the giant Observation Wheel, standing at 70 metres tall. That's one metre more than Westminster Abbey. From the top you get spectacular 360 degree views across the city's landmarks including that other famous wheel, the London Eye as well as The Shard and the BT Tower. Not only is it the biggest transportable wheel in the world but it's ten metres bigger than last year's wheel. With its enclosed pods, the Giant Observation Wheel is also a cosy places to take in the view. Fast Track passes, which guarantee speedy entry, are available via O2 Priority boarding and for any special occasion.
About Hyde Park
Technically two different parks, Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens are in practical terms one huge, merging expanse. The 'split' dates back to 1728 when Queen Caroline, wife of George II, took almost 300 acres from Hyde Park to form Kensington Gardens. The 350 acres that remained has become one of London's best-loved parks. More about Hyde Park
