- Visitor Information
Fitzrovia's new and rather cool Jetlag Bar has the perfect downstairs space for World Cup viewing: a cinema lounge with a massive screen, high definition projector and surround sound speaker system. What's more, Jetlag prides itself as a well-travelled international beer and cocktail bar with a global food menu that means you can tailor what you eat and drink to what game is being played out in front of you in this stylish venue. International street food on offer includes Spanish calamari tapas, Greek souvlaki, Japanese yakitori and gyoza, Brazilian coxinhas, Algerian houmous and pitta, South African bunny chow and Mexican burritos ? plus a whole load of delectable delights from nations not represented in the World Cup. Beers are well represented too, including Asahi from Japan, ESB from England, Estrella from Spain, Samiel Adams from the USA, Oranjeboom from the Netherlands, James Boag from Australia and Steinlager Pure from New Zealand. And don't get us started about the wines or the special around-the-world cocktail package (six for ?25). In fact, the only two nations they seem to have missed out on their World Cup food and drink programme are Uruguay and Slovenia. Yup, here at LondonTown we can see Jetlag becoming a real popular destination this June and July. See www.jetlagbar.com for more information.About Jetlag Sports Bar
Naming a bar after the adverse condition you feel after a long-haul flight is perhaps not the cleverest of ideas - but Fitzrovia's Jetlag has branded itself as a well-travelled international cocktail bar, so there's some logic in it, however tenuous. Split across two floors, the brand spanking new bar aims "to bring the best of American service, Japanese quality and Kiwi attitude...perfect for those looking for first-lass luxury without the first-class price tag." Despite some quirky art and cool chairs, the ground floor bar is fairly simple and serves a decent selection of beers, wines and cocktails (an ingenious 'round the world' cocktail tickets gets you six global concoctions for just £25).
