Your Stratford StageA celebration of the creative talent neighbouring the International Quarter London in Stratford, the new development opens with a free arts festival in May. Your Stratford Stage launches with a lead performance from London Afrobeat Collective and concludes with two Half Term Family Days on 28th and 29th May. But first, on 9th May, performing arts students from the University of East London present a modern-day reinterpretation of Charles Dickens' Great Expectations. On 28th and 29th May, for the May half term, family friendly entertainment includes dance activities and performances from Sadler's Wells, Company Wayne McGregor and East London Dance as well as music from The Flying Bazazi Brothers and hip-hop storytelling with Alim Kamara. Sadler's Wells presents Candoco Dance Company's You and I Know, a romantic duet by Arlene Phillips, while Here East-based Company Wayne McGregor ensemble perform Autobiography. Look out for performances throughout May from a local youth group on 16th and 23rd May and by E15 Jazz Band on stage the following day.
