Founded in 1676, for centuries Lock & Co. has been the place to shop for a top hat if you're off to Ascot. The quaint shop in St James's Street retains a touch of yesteryear and the business remains family owned, providing quality headwear of a standard still expected in the members' enclosure. Once fitted with a suitable hat, a gentleman would go to Lobb's for their boots and Swaine, Adeney, Brigg for their saddle and leather luggage, with all three shops conveniently located in the same street.
