Founded in 1966 as a publishing house, New Beacon Books was named after the 'The Beacon' magazine, a cultural publication from 1930s Trinidad which gives some indication of the specialist books stocked here. Multi-ethnic children's books are also available at this well-known bookshop at Finsbury Park where just some of the 35,000 books available are displayed.
