This immaculate 10 acre park is the largest green space on the Southbank. Once part of Lambeth Palace’s private gardens, Archbishop Tait originally donated the gardens to "scores of pale children" from the local area to play in.
The grass is well-groomed, while the wooden play area is an adventure for tireless and intrepid kiddies. A pleasant path stretches across the park ideal for prams and walkers, and to one corner you can serve up a treat on the rather flash tennis courts.
