Standing in formal and informal gardens, Bromley Museum is housed in a medieval/post-medieval building. Displays include the archaeology of the London Borough of Bromley and the life and work of Sir John Lubbock. Lubbock was the first Lord Avebury and the person responsible for giving this country its Bank Holidays. There's also the opportunity to find out how people lived before World War Two and a regular programme of temporary exhibitions held throughout the year, both by the museum and outside groups.
