Location Map of Carshalton Park

The remnants and last trace of the broken Scawens family, Carshalton Park is a shadow of its former glory.

However, there is a remarkable grotto built into the valley to one side. Originally it was an intended mansion but fell into disrepair when family fortunes dwindled. Although only visible through a protected grill, the intimate alcoves and rounded chambers are still very distinctive.

The park itself boasts all the essentials, there are vast stretches of green to enjoy spotted with trees.
