The Chapter House, built by the Royal Masons in 1250, contains some of the finest medieval English sculpture to be seen. The octagonal building still has its original floor of glazed tiles. The 11th century Pyx Chamber houses the Abbey treasures and the Abbey Museum medieval royal effigies.
