Located on what was once the London estate of the Bishops of Winchester (known as the 'Liberty of the Clink'), the Clink Prison Museum unlocks the history of the 'original' Clink Prison and the Bankside brothels. The museum's exhibition area takes up 5,000 square feet and vividly depicts scenes from the gaol and the forms of punishment inflicted on the prisoners (whose crimes ranged from being in debt, being suspected of practising the 'wrong' faith, theft or murder). The museum is also available for private hire, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, and conferences. Unlock the past with a visit to the site of the prison that gave its name to all others.
