Huge area packed with historic features, exciting facilities and perfect picnic spots. Created in 1890, Dulwich Park started life as farmland and a group of meadows known as ‘five fields’ and many of the ancient Oaks, which were used as boundary markers, survive today. It is considered by some to have been the forerunner of modern Country Parks. Queen Mary was a regular visitor to the Garden and one of the park entrances 'Queen Mary's Gate' was named after her.
