Located in the London Borough of Redbridge, Fairlop Waters is a spacious park and leisure facility with a two golf courses (9 and 18-holes), a floodlit driving range, a windsurfing and sailing lake, and the UK's largest bouldering park. The sailing lake, which covers an area of 38 acres, is also available for night fishing. There are indoor facilities on site too, providing two function rooms, available to hire, a bar and seating area. The Fairlop Outdoor Activity Centre (Forest Road, Hainault, Essex, IG6 3HN; 020 8500 1468), open all year round, offers a full range of courses in canoeing, kayaking, seamanship skills, sailing with spinnakers, performance sailing, starting to race and day sailing. There are also courses in windsurfing and private tuition. For access to the area using public transport take the Central Line to Fairlop station, then it's a short walk to the complex.
