ABOUT IMAGES  
CLOSED FOR REFURBISHMENT UNTIL EARLY 2010.

Attractive galleries illustrating Jewish history and religious life in Britain and beyond. The museum's collection of Jewish ceremonial art is considered among the finest in the world.

Highlights include a 16th century Italian synagogue ark, wedding rings and cradle charms, silver Torah bells made in London and two loving cups presented by the Spanish and Portuguese Synagogue to the Lord Mayor in the 18th century. The museum also offers excellent audio-visual programmes, changing exhibitions and cultural events.
