The Gallery was established in London's West End in 1974 and moved to its present location in 1987 changing the name to Jill George Gallery in 1991. The Gallery represents both abstract and figurative work by British Contemporary artists: paintings, drawings, watercolours, monoprints and limited edition prints are by artists from established names to recent graduates. Graduates are the focus of an exhibition every eighteen months and exhibitions are held every five weeks with originals and prints always available. Established artists represented include David Mach (showing at this gallery since 1995), the man responsible for 'The National Portrait' at 'Self Portrait Zone' of the Millennium Dome (one of the more successful exhibits of the largely doomed Dome) and who is well known for his large-scale collages of famous faces such as Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley.
