Lee Valley is a haven of leisure activities. Stretching 26 miles on both sides of the River Lee, the unique natural features of this 10,000 acre area have been shaped to provide a mosaic of activities and events. There are the nature reserves (both Walthamstow Marsh and Middlesex filter beds) to explore, a riding centre, pitch & putt green, boating and fishing lakes, the lush, green expanses of Springfield Park and finally... there's the Lee Valley Ice Centre. Figure skating, ice-hockey, and spectacular shows grace the surface of this substantial 1,500-metre rink, which is home to the Lee Valley Lions, an amateur side competing in the English National Ice Hockey League. If you're in the area and fancy a full day out, why not glide your way across the ice after exploring the length and breadth of Lee Valley Park?
