Mile End Stadium

A multi-sports stadium located in Mile End Park in east London, the Mile End Stadium has covered seating for 440 people as well as a full eight-lane synthetic athletics track. Besides the floodlit track and field facilities, there is also several astroturf football pitches and basketball courts, and a new sports complex with a 25m swimming pool. Also known as the East London Stadium, the venue is also home to two senior football clubs - Bethnal Green United of the Essex Senior League, and Sporting Bengal United of the Kent League. The Britpop group Blur played a famous open-air gig here in 1995 in front of screaming 27,000 fans.
