- Visitor Information
Priory Park in Hornsey, Haringey, close to Alexandra Palace, has been a Green Flag award winner for six years in a row. An irregular shaped 6.5 hectares, the park offers ample green space, a cafe, paddling pool (May to September), six tennis courts (no booking necessary), playgrounds and a dog free area in the Philosopher's Garden. There are also a variety of other sporting and recreational facilities
making the park a popular place to take a picnic or just enjoy the fresh
air. The Lamorna granite fountain, a landmark in the south of the park, dates back to 1880 when it was erected in St Paul's Cathedral churchyard but has stood here since 1909 when the Dean and Chapter to Hornsey donated it to the park. The main entrance is on Priory Road and there are additional access points in Middle Lane, Ashford Avenue, Abbeville Road and Barrington Road.
