Serpentine GalleryThe Serpentine Gallery is closed for refurbishment and will reopen on Saturday 8th June 2013 with the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion, designed by Sou Fujimoto.

Found in the middle of leafy Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park, The Serpentine provides a platform for contemporary artists, both British and international, with frequent changing exhibitions. In July, the annual Summer Party is a highlight on the social circuit, attracting celebrities, fashionistas and models in the latest designer dresses. Rather more artistically important is the Summer Pavilion; each year a distinguished architect is invited to build a temporary structure which sits alongside the gallery for the summer months. Often controversial and always a talking point, the Summer Pavilion is arguably one of the most interesting exhibitions the Serpentine presents.
