Dedicated to St Lawrence who was roasted alive on a grid iron in 3rd century Rome, this church was rebuilt by Wren in 1670-87.
Unfortunately it was gutted by fire during the Blitz and had to be completely restored. It was re-consecrated in 1957 and it is the official church of the Corporation of London.
