At this Brick Lane art gallery the focus is on exhibiting and promoting the contemporary object. Gallery S O is the London branch of a gallery which began in 2003 in Solothurn, Switzerland. Founded by Felix Flury, Gallery S O London continues in the same vein as its Swiss parent, aiming to stimulate the public's perception of, and curiosity about, contemporary art objects and jewellery. It aims to provide an insight into how the creative input is influenced and shaped by applied concepts and processes. The gallery is divided into two spaces, with the front showroom displaying a selection of works by international artists and makers, and the gallery to the rear showing temporary projects and exhibitions. Both these spaces display works that are not only aesthetically desirable but also reflective of the artistic communication of imaginative meaning within the physical form.
