All Richmond mums know and love the Pottery Cafe - it's practically a rite of passage for new mums to take their babies here to get their footprints cast on a mug or dinner plate. But there are a myriad other ways to get creative with pottery decorating too. Choose from their menu of hand made pottery - tea pots, bowls and the like - select your paints and sponges then roll up your sleeves and get painting. If you haven't picked up a brush since childhood their sponges are a good option. The firing part takes a couple of days and your finished masterpiece is usually ready to pick up a week after you've created it. The Richmond branch opened in 2001, following the success of the Fulham studio, and is located just over the bridge in Richmond upon Thames, and around the corner from Marble Hill in East Twickenham. This one seats around 30 people and also has The Little Toy Shop to the side of the studio.
