Art gallery Proud Chelsea brings top quality rock 'n' roll photography to the heart of King's Road. There are several strings to the Proud bow - all owned by Alex Proud - with Proud Camden being the most happening of them all. There art is mixed with live performances, a bar and sun terrace. Proud Chelsea, meanwhile, is a straightforward photographic art gallery and the place to go for a black and white iconic print of your favourite band in action. The space is similar in size to its predecessor, Proud Central (which is given over to nuturing emerging talent), but the more conventional layout at Chelsea means a larger area to exhibit in and its location makes it more accessible to the casual shopper. Proud Chelsea launched on 17th November 2009 with the opening of Elvis at 21: New York to Memphis by world renowned photographer Alfred Wertheimer, an archive of candid photographs of Elvis that had not been shown in the UK before. A further venture, Proud Cabaret, opened in the City around the same time, in mid November 2009, adding to the Alex Proud offering.Proud Chelsea events
