Visitor Information
Rod Barton, one of the heads of Julian Opie's studio, runs this gallery which relocated from a Georgian garage in between Clerkenwell and Islington to south east London in November 2013. Back in 2009 Rod Barton premiered his new gallery space in Angel with a challenging show of new work by the young Belgian artist Michiel Ceulers. Relocating to this 1,700 square foot space in Peckham Rye, the gallery on Consort road opened with a collective co-curated with Jonathan Ellis-King entitled, 'Six Impossible Things before Breakfast', an indication of the kind of early career artists Rod Barton Gallery work with.
