Visitor Information
SE8 is a gallery space in Deptford that is dedicated to installation art and showcases both emerging and internationally recognised artists. Recent exhibitions of note include 2011's The Half-Shut Door , which explored the relationship between vision and sound, and 2010's Mulberry Tree Press , a multi-platform exhibition that included installation art, performances, round table discussions and film screenings across a two month period. SE8 has also facilitated participatory learning projects - during the Mulberry Tree Press exhibition, young people were invited to work with contemporary artists and writers in order to interpret the exhibition in a one-day workshop that also explored the relationship between the gallery and the bustling local surroundings of Deptford High Street.
