The Porchester Hall is a grand building in the heart of Paddington, providing striking, plush surroundings for a whole host of events from wedding receptions to fashion shows to charity balls. Opening its doors in 1929, the Hall provided this west London community with a rather lovely place to hold dances and meetings and, with oak-panelled walls, crystal chandeliers and velvet drapes, it's still a traditionally elegant venue to have a bit of a do. Add to this the dance floor, the stage at one end of the hall (complete with art deco skylight) and the backstage Duchess of York room, not forgetting the fully licensed bar and kitchen facilities, and you've got everything you could possibly need and want to impress your guests.
