Legendary London nightclub Chinawhite has reopened in a new location on Winsley Street, not far from Oxford Circus, following the closure of its Air Street venue in December 2009. Renowned for its 'celebrity' clientele - from footballers to footballers' wives wannabes - Chinawhite has long been a favourite with Z-list stars snapped "coming out of a London nightclub". Inside you're meant to feel "enveloped in modern day oriental opulence" according to the press release, certainly the hand painted Chinese style wallpaper and Balinese carvings help create the desired effect. In the main room, the dance floor and glass bar are where the beautiful people can boogey on down until the wee-hours. The bar staff are all knowledgeable mixologists and the waiters almost as gorgeous as the customers. If you like a good mix of cheesy-pop and dance music, then you'll certainly want to get your dancing-shoes on for Chinawhite. The only challenge with the place comes with getting in, as the club runs a members policy. However the door-men will let you past the velvet rope on most nights, if you look the part, just don't try a Wednesday which is strictly members only.
