At ground floor level on Fisherman’s Walk at Canary Wharf, tables, chairs and merry-makers spill out of doors on to the riverside during the summer months. It’s a lovely spot to ponder the murky waters of the Thames.
Not just reserved for those days when we’re blessed by a precious warm front, inside the bar has a good stab at producing an old-fashioned but up-to-date feel: sawdust covers the floors and chunky candles cast a warm glow about. Pick up a glass of vino and find a perch while the usual Canary Wharf set hobnob around you.
The wine list is decent with some up-to-scratch own-label house wines as well as some delectable vintage ports. The Grill Dining Room offers food until 3pm, and bar snacks are available all day.
Rooms available for hire.
