- Visitor Information
The only licensed vendor of oxygen in the UK, Oxygen Bar is certainly unique. Locals and tourists alike gather to glug down cocktails accompanied by slugs of purest oxygen. This individual lure – gimmick, some might say – has proved consistently popular since Oxygen Bar opened its doors. Canisters of oxygen are available alone or as part of a cocktail. Reputedly it’s best served chilled with champagne. Or so say the bar staff.
The bar has three levels, each playing distinct music. The ground floor supplies easy-on-the-ear party pop, upstairs the tunes are more on the chilled side. Below ground level customers really get in motion as the night club area pumps out commercial dance till the early hours.
Oxygen Bar is dark and atmospheric, all decked out in metal and mirrors, complemented by grand chandeliers and wrought iron tables. Like most of the bars around Leicester Square, it is ferociously crowded at weekends.
The lounge bar and club areas are available for hire. There is no charge, just a minimum that must be spent at the bar (usually £1000, negotiable).
Situated in Leicester Square, drinks don’t come cheap but there is a happy hour all day Monday and till 8pm the rest of the week.
