Formerly run by Billy Drew (who has opened The Chippy in Soho), The Perseverance in Lamb's Conduit Street re-opened in April 2007 under new management. It's a pleasant enough spot to enjoy the traditional pub atmosphere. Food is of the meat balls and bangers & mash variety, served with home made mashed potato and red onion gravy all very affordable at under a tenner. Wooden floorboards and sparsely spread out furniture give a rather bare feeling to the place. The TV is occasionally turned on for big sporting matches and there are outside benches with umbrellas for the summer - and for smokers.
