The Met Bar was synonymous with celebrities in the nineties - Kate Moss and her clan were among the A-list regulars - and it still gets a fair smattering of pop stars, actresses, footballers and their wives. Despite its famous name - and column inches in the gossip pages - The Met Bar is surprisingly sophisticated. Some nights DJs spin the tunes and the place gets jumping, others it's a great place for a quiet drink. Another surprise is the small dimensions - you'd expect a bar this talked about to be big. But don't let the diminutive size deter you, after all, it doesn't take much to fill the place which helps create a good atmosphere. It's only open to members or hotel guests after 6pm so it's worth booking a room (or getting some new, cash-splashing friends) if you want to make a proper night of it.The Met Bar images
