One of the liveliest bar clubs in Brixton, and that's saying something. This corner of South London has a wicked atmosphere and a cheerful disregard for normal closing times, and the Telegraph always draws a good crowd for some honestly priced beer and superior music. Recently they've upped the ante on the music policy and got a reputation for nights with a difference, from obscure electronica to burlesque.
The Telegraph is also one of Brixton's oldest venues, from it's days as an illegal Irish gambling den, through the punk era when it was the spiritual home of punk, this place has always been infused with the spirit of South London fun. It's also a good place to while away the early evening as the drinks are fairly priced and you can skip any door charges incurred later.
In conclusion, very good. If you're thinking of checking a night at The Telegraph out, then do it.
