Stepping into the Revolution Leadenhall is a fairly awe-inspiring experience, even after the grandiose architecture of the City of London outside. The vast 1930s banking hall has been sympathetically converted, with the original marble floor and pillars matching nicely with the new chrome-and-mirrors decor (and, thankfully, not too much of the Russian kitsch that this chain favours in its other venues). There's a club downstairs, in the former safe, and a balcony where you'll need to book if you want a table. The crowd are mostly office workers from the City, and on Friday nights things get very busy, and very boozy.
