Venue hire at Science Museum IMAX

Hire the Science Museum IMAX for your own event.

The Science Museum IMAX has 12 function rooms; the largest can hold a maximum of 750 guests, the smallest is ideal for 20.

The huge IMAX screen - ten times bigger than the average screen - at the Science Museum is one of the few places in London where you can get the full cinematic experience in 3D. With digital surround sound-system, and the special multi-dimensional technology of the IMAX format (short for Image Maximum), the IMAX is, without doubt, the most technically impressive modern cinema in the country. Watching a film here is more like taking part in the action - travel from the depths of the ocean up to the far reaches of outer space via a series of spectacular 3D and 2D films. Given the location, within the Science Museum, it's not surprising that a large proportion of their 3D programme is dedicated to nature films, space adventures, earthquakes and prehistoric creatures, but there are some mainstream movie cartoon features too. 3D documentaries add to the portfolio and, while the 2D films are by no means as visually dynamic they are still impressive on this impressively large screen.
