The Long Room

This is a highly individual venue with attitude, creativity and style. Good for light filled lunches in the depths of winter as a high glass atrium floods light over the soft leather furniture and the purple-underlit zinc-topped bar. Pizzas are the key culinary attraction, emerging crisp & plentiful and topped with all sorts of delicious bits. Local workers come for discreet business lunches in the long, slim, well designed space; in the evenings the industrial style orange lighting compliments the long, well stocked bar and attracts a vibrant, twentysomething crowd whose cocktail fused chat goes on until well beyond midnight.
Walk up Salusbury Road, no more than five minutes from Queens Park station and the Long Room’s low key façade can never prepare you for its frankly spectacular interior.
Dark, smooth wood parts one huge, ‘long room’, deep orange acrylic glass box lights brighten up an industrial styled, underlit bar backed by a sexy, cherry-red lacquered screen.

In the dining area, high ceilings with an open glass roof let in lots of light during the day with plenty of seating on modern but comfortable furniture. Some of the restaurant space has been partitioned off to allow private leather couch areas.
This is by far the trendiest place in the area, suitable for large crowds in the daytime as well as the evening. Since the recent refurbishment the emphasis of The Long Room has been to provide high standards with full table service for its many large private functions.
DJ’s spin funky tunes on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night when the bar is kept open until midnight.
This is a party venue with relaxed, friendly staff that offers affordable cocktails and food with great offers on an international menu specialising on pizzas and salads to a clientele of office workers and young professionals.
